Cry Freedom

1. Who was your favorite character from the film? Why?

Obviously my favourite character it was Steve Biko, and something that make me sad it was not to see more of him on the movie, know more about him. His nature, his strenght and sincerity, he was never break down for the white, he always had his dignity, even when he almost died. He was an inspirational man.

I loved too the participation of women on the struggle like the Biko's wife, and the Doctor Ramphele.

2. What was your favorite scene from the film? Why?

I think that my favourite scene is when Biko is on the judgment, and he is talking about the dignity of black people, deffending himself with the truth and honesty. I like so much that scene, because in that you can see the heart of the struggle, and known more about who is and what think steve Biko. I think that is a powerfull scene.

3. How does the film differ from the other films? Use the article from The Guardian to help you

First, this movie talk about a different party, and doesn't have the ANC like a protagonist. This story doesn't talk about the arm struggle, otherwise talks about the black consciousness movement, talks about community and help. Steve Biko was influenced by the Black Panther Party, so its a different history about a one country.
